Category Archives: Fall
Fall is absolutely my FAVORITE time of year! The leaves are changing color and crunch when you step on them, the air is cooler and crisp, and there’s nothing better than roasting s’mores over bonfires with friends. Fall is also a really beautiful time of year for family photos 🙂 This is my most popular event of the year so I have opened up 3 dates for them! Here are the details…
25 minute session, online shareable proofing gallery, your choice of 15 edited images along with a print release.
Milton Lee Olive Park in Chicago: Friday, August 31st
Charter Oak Park in Peoria: Saturday, September 1st
Lake Harriet in Woodridge: Saturday, September 8th
On August 5th, I will be joining thousands of runners from across the country to participate in my 3rd St. Jude Run. I am part of the Chillicothe to Peoria St. Jude Run satellite team and our leg consists of just over 55 miles. I plan to run as many of those miles and raise as much money as I am able to. Last year, I ran 33 miles on run day and raised $3,300. I set my goal higher this year and would love to reach it but I still have a long way to go so I decided to donate $25 from each Fall Mini Session to my fundraising goal. All of the money we raise goes to make sure that families never receive a bill for the time their child spends at St. Jude, including housing, travel, food, and treatments. Every little bit helps.
I included some photos in this post so you get a little feel for run day. The picture of me and my husband is right around 20 miles in 🙂 the day is full of inspiration, encouragement, emotion, and I consider it to be one of the best days of the year because of the runner culture and the amazing people I have met in the years I have been part of this team.
In order to secure a session, a $25 must be made to my St. Jude fundraising page, then the remaining $125 must be paid before the session. If you see a date/time combo that works for you, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org (fastest method) or comment on this blog post to snag it.

I instantly knew I would love Amy and Jacob when they suggested we meet at Chinatown for a wedding consultation. I absolutely love Chinese food and knew immediately that these two people would be amazing. My instincts proved true, as Amy and Jacob are two of the kindest people I have ever met. I was incredibly honored to photograph their wedding last October.
I loved the vibrant colors of the bouquets which complemented the beautiful blue bridesmaid dresses. The bridal party was a lot of fun, up for a bunch of silly poses, which always makes for some great candid photos afterwards.
Amy and Jacob opted for a First Look before the ceremony, which was done right outside their venue, Grace Lutheran Church in River Forest, Illinois. The church was a beautiful backdrop for photos, inside and out, and we lucked out with some amazing Fall colors and weather. The famous venue Fitzgerald’s Nightclub was their reception choice – a Bon Jovi music video was filmed there as well as a scene from A League of Their Own. Here are a few of my favorites from Amy and Jacob’s wedding!

This wedding was a very special one for me. I have been photographing part of the groom’s family for a few years now and to be asked to photograph his wedding based on that meant a lot to me to begin with. Then I found out that Kaitlyn and Dan were getting married in the very same place I got married and that took it to a whole new level. So this wedding was definitely sentimental to me for a few reasons.
Kaitlyn was absolutely stunning, and I especially loved the pops of colors in her bridesmaids dresses and her bouquets. Here are some of my favorites from their beautiful Fall wedding at Starved Rock.
Congratulations Kaitlyn and Dan, it was an honor to photograph your wedding! I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
