This Summer I started a collaboration with Hello Dolly, a traveling clothing boutique based out of the Midwest. You can shop online, at Pop Up events, or at in home Trunk Shows. You should book a Trunk Show, seriously so much fun and who doesn’t love hanging out and shopping with all your girlfriends?!
Hello Dolly shoots are always a blast, filled with trendy fashions, awesome accessories, and tons of laughter. This is the first of many shoots together. Can’t wait to show you more!
On August 5th, I will be joining thousands of runners from across the country to participate in my 3rd St. Jude Run. I am part of the Chillicothe to Peoria St. Jude Run satellite team and our leg consists of just over 55 miles. I plan to run as many of those miles and raise as much money as I am able to. Last year, I ran 33 miles on run day and raised $3,300. I set my goal higher this year and would love to reach it but I still have a long way to go so I decided to donate $25 from each Fall Mini Session to my fundraising goal. All of the money we raise goes to make sure that families never receive a bill for the time their child spends at St. Jude, including housing, travel, food, and treatments. Every little bit helps.
I included some photos in this post so you get a little feel for run day. The picture of me and my husband is right around 20 miles in 🙂 the day is full of inspiration, encouragement, emotion, and I consider it to be one of the best days of the year because of the runner culture and the amazing people I have met in the years I have been part of this team.
In order to secure a session, a $25 must be made to my St. Jude fundraising page, then the remaining $125 must be paid before the session. If you see a date/time combo that works for you, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org (fastest method) or comment on this blog post to snag it.
The following dates and times are available to book:
Friday, August 11th @ Hudson Crossing Park in Oswego, IL: 3:00pm, 4:00pm, 5:00pm, and 6:00pm
Saturday, September 23rd @ The Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL: 2:00pm,

I look forward to seeing you for a Fall Mini Session! I will update this post as session slots become unavailable.
I was so excited when this beautiful Mama contacted me for some fall family photos and brought up the idea of shooting at an orchard. Jonamac Orchard in Malta, Illinois, was the perfect place. Beautiful scenery, a cute little store to buy fresh picked apples, apple wine, apple cider, and basically anything you can make with apples! Not to mention amazing customer service – they offered to replace my bag of apples after I dropped them on the floor. Totally my fault and they still offered. Amazing. Anyways, I so enjoyed walking around the orchard with this awesome family and was able to capture some great candid moments of their sweet new baby being loved on by his big sister.
I had so much fun with you guys, thank you so much for choosing me to be your photographer!
This was my first session in our new hometown of Oswego, Illinois! We lucked out on a beautiful but windy day and there were some great Fall colors in the trees. I really loved shooting here, we were at Hudson Crossing Park which is right on the river and you get a great feel for the beautiful trees and parks in Oswego, not to mention its super cute residents! Here are some of my favorites from their fun Fall session.
Cutest leaf-thrower ever 🙂
I had so much fun exploring Oswego and playing in the leaves with you! Thank you for choosing me to be your family’s photographer.
This family was so much fun to photograph! I instantly felt welcome when I walked in the door, everyone had big smiles and they were so excited for me to be there. They were all in the same country together on a rare occasion so Mom contacted me to take advantage of the opportunity and have family pictures taken together. It was such a pleasure to be invited to their home and even as an outsider, I could really feel the love they all have for each other..
It was a gorgeous day and their backyard was amazing for photos – huge shade trees letting just the right amount of light peek through. That combined with a beautiful family is a photographer’s dream 🙂
