On August 5th, I will be joining thousands of runners from across the country to participate in my 3rd St. Jude Run. I am part of the Chillicothe to Peoria St. Jude Run satellite team and our leg consists of just over 55 miles. I plan to run as many of those miles and raise as much money as I am able to. Last year, I ran 33 miles on run day and raised $3,300. I set my goal higher this year and would love to reach it but I still have a long way to go so I decided to donate $25 from each Fall Mini Session to my fundraising goal. All of the money we raise goes to make sure that families never receive a bill for the time their child spends at St. Jude, including housing, travel, food, and treatments. Every little bit helps.
I included some photos in this post so you get a little feel for run day. The picture of me and my husband is right around 20 miles in 🙂 the day is full of inspiration, encouragement, emotion, and I consider it to be one of the best days of the year because of the runner culture and the amazing people I have met in the years I have been part of this team.
In order to secure a session, a $25 must be made to my St. Jude fundraising page, then the remaining $125 must be paid before the session. If you see a date/time combo that works for you, please email me at email@example.com (fastest method) or comment on this blog post to snag it.
The following dates and times are available to book:
Friday, August 11th @ Hudson Crossing Park in Oswego, IL: 3:00pm, 4:00pm, 5:00pm, and 6:00pm
Saturday, September 23rd @ The Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL: 2:00pm,
3:00pm, 4:00pm, and 5:00pm
I look forward to seeing you for a Fall Mini Session! I will update this post as session slots become unavailable.
Every year, I always have SO much fun exploring different parts of Chicago with this awesome family! This year, we tackled Millennium Park and Maggie Daley Park to name a few places. I love hanging out with this family every year and I can’t wait to see the adventures we will go on next year!
Showing me how to dab… I think that’s what it’s called? I’m too old for that hahaha.
This is one of my favorite families to hang out with! Not only are they very fun and sweet but they are also suuuuper photogenic, as you can see below. We met at Katherine Legge Park in Hinsdale on a beautiful August day for some maternity photos and updated family photos.
I hope to see you again soon and meet your beautiful new addition!
I met Julia and Danny on a dreary day at the beautiful Lighthouse Beach in Evanston, Illinois for their engagement session. Luckily, the rain held off until the very end of their session and we were able to get in some fun beach photos and even got a few minutes of sunshine.
Julia and Danny, thanks for showing me Evanston and I’m looking forward to seeing you again in September to photograph your wedding!
This family was so much fun to photograph! I instantly felt welcome when I walked in the door, everyone had big smiles and they were so excited for me to be there. They were all in the same country together on a rare occasion so Mom contacted me to take advantage of the opportunity and have family pictures taken together. It was such a pleasure to be invited to their home and even as an outsider, I could really feel the love they all have for each other..
It was a gorgeous day and their backyard was amazing for photos – huge shade trees letting just the right amount of light peek through. That combined with a beautiful family is a photographer’s dream 🙂
